The St. Louis Blues have won their first CDNHL Stanley Cup defeating the Washington Capitals in 6 games.  The turning point was a triple overtime thriller in game 4 which the Blues won to tie the series at 2.  St. Louis ended up winning the next two games which clinched the franchise’s first Stanley Cup.

The Conn Smythe Trophy has yet to be awarded, however the odds on favourite looks to be Connor McDavid.  He led the playoffs in scoring with 31 points in 22 games.

Two cinderella teams, both led by generational talents, created a great final for the CDNHL in 2018.  The Blues are in great shape for next season as they are only set to lose Luke Schenn and Mike Condon to free agency.  The Caps are a completely different story as some high profile names including Kopitar, Marleau, Okposo, and Reimer are all hitting the open market.

Congratulations to both Philippe and Blake on great seasons!
