We’re down to the last few weeks of the 2013-14 CDNHL season and there are still a few teams jockying for a playoff spot in both the East and West. Detroit, Phoenix and Minnesota are battling out for the eighth seed in the West while Winnipeg, Montreal and the NY Rangers are fighting for the last two spots in the East.

Could the mighty habs miss the playoffs altogether? On the flip side, Chicago is chasing Calgary for the utimate regular season prize the President’s Cup. The Flames have put forth another amazing season and sits 2 wins ahead of the chihawks with 13 games apiece left. Speaking of chihawks, they have a couple top players in the hunt for major hardware with Anze Kopitar leading the Art Ross Trophy race and Andrew Ladd leading the Rocket Richard Trophy race.

The last few weeks promise to be entertaining as teams jockey for home ice advantage and monetary rewards. Will the Flames take the Western Conference for a fourth straight season or will the Blackhawks finally break Rod’s winning streak? How will the Habs recover after winning back to back cups, did the will to win back to back cost them long term health? All questions will soon be answered as the CDNHL regular season wraps up.
