Our Sharks are going thru another rebuild season and thanks to some terrible goaltending we’re leading the field in the race for 1st pick again this season.
On the pro roster youngster Sam Reinhart has improved from last year and is looking like the #1 center we drafted him to become.  Unfortunately we lost a year of progress with Daniel Sprong but we’re confident he will come back stronger than ever.  While often overlooked late 1st rounder David Pastrnak has been a sniper this year putting up 31 goals 32 assists in 66 games so far to go with a +9 rating, suggesting he’s ready for top 6 duties.
Down on the farm
Matthews & Marner. M&M’s Baby! Obviously these two kids are legit, giving my Sharks another excellent center/right wing combo for years to come. Both untouchable, don’t even ask.
Recent draftee defenseman & late bloomer Dennis Cholowski is a few years away but looks to be fitting in quite fine in his first season of D1 hockey. After not being drafted in 2015, big Finnish center Henrik Borgstorm found himself a late 2016 1st round pick. Playing in his 1st season in D1 he’s thriving putting up more than a point per game in Denver. Then there is undersized 2nd round pick Adam Mascherin of the Kitchener Rangers. After putting up a very respectable 35 goals, 81 point season last year Monster Masch has followed it with 35 goals 100 points in 65 games this year.
Credit to our scouting department for seeing what many other teams did not.
Overall we’re quite pleased with how things are going and look forward to the CDNHL draft where we’re armed with an extra 1st (CGY) and 2nd (DET)
